Jamie Masefield, Mike Gordon, Doug Perkins
Grappa Boom (noun) - A delicious grape alcoholic beverage..
GRAPPA BOOM Emerges on May 30, 31 and June 1st~! Jamie Masefield, Mike Gordon and Doug Perkins played their first gig together in 88. In recent years they've played sold out benefit shows at the Startksboro Meeting House in Vermont. But in May, the trio hits the road for the first time to share their music which consists of originals, jazz and bluegrass tunes (Jamie's going to play Bluegrass!) There's even some singing in this sit down, acoustic format. Dont miss this rare treat to see them live May 31st and June 1st. Check showdates for listings.
The May 30th Event is a closed to the public show that is being held to support "The Farm School". Grappa Boom is very happy to be able to help raise money for them and too, bring awareness to their cause. Please take part in the "live" auction to be held from 8:30pm-10:00pm by tuning your dials to Boston's 92.9 WBOS. You can learn more about the Farm school by visiting them on the web at www.farmschool.org
What does Grappa Boom mean? The group decided they should have a name and it turned out Mike had been compiling a list of band names for years that was up to about 60. This is the one they pulled from the stock pile.
"Grappa Boom" (noun) - A delicious grape alcoholic beverage consumed in the Mediterranean area during bombing season.
