REFLECTIONS ON SUMMER TOURING

Hi Folks, we've just finished a tour that took us from Hartford, CT to San Diego, CA and almost everywhere in between. The response from all of you has been overwhelming, and we're so glad you've been enjoying our unique brand of music!

Bonnaroo in particular was an incredible experience. I spent time with SO many great musicians behind the scenes. Many were old friends that I hadn’t seen in awhile and many were people that I had been a fan of, but had never met. Everywhere I looked there was someone I wanted to go say “hi” to. There were at least 8,000 people that came to our specific tent to check out the tunes. Not only was the crowd huge, but it might have been the most attentive large crowd we've ever played for. At the time that we performed, there was a deluge of rain, I mean REALLY hard! Everyone was soaking wet and covered with mud… but no one seemed to mind. It felt like we were in Noah's Ark with 2 of every species present. It was a very rewarding tour, to hear so much great feedback.

It really is important to hear your thoughts, comments and questions about the experience. Use the message board to communicate with us, each other and most importantly to debate about who's the best JMP drummer!

From July 1-10, the lineup will be Mad Dog on trumpet and keys, Scott Ritchie on upright bass, Jon Fishman on drums and myself on mandolins.
After that we're taking a little break to do laundry.
