January Tour Revisited

JMP has started 2004 like no other year! In its recent tour with Page
McConnell's all-star group Vida Blue featuring the Spam All Stars from Miami,
JMP covered ALOT of ground and once that run was finished, the band looked
forward to continuing on with the luxury of getting to really stretch out
with a string of its own shows out to the midwest. In fact, the band's
previous record of performing 9 consecutive nights in a row was smashed with
a new record of 11. We're glad so many fans were able to catch the 4 member
all-star lineup. The response has really been overwhelming, thanks! To
respond to many inquiries, the band did record a bit of live music to multi
track because we were so pleased with it night after night. To top it off,
after the marathon run was over, the band was so pumped that it decided to
spend a night recording the very next day after the last gig with close to
no sleep! We are not sure when or how this music will be released but we'll
keep you in the loop. The vaults are being filled with treasure!

Right now, the first thing on our minds is our February tour which is just
around the corner. This run will include a number of south central locations
that we've been meaning to get back to for a while. The lineup will be with
many fans favorite JMP veteran drummer Greg Gonzales, Scott Ritchie on
upright bass, Mad Dog on trumpet and keys and Jamie on mandolins. If you
would like to get involved with any of these gigs please email us at
jazzmandolin@adelphia.net.

Jungle Tango was recently voted the best Vermont CD of 2003 by the
Burlington Free Press!
